We’re looking for a Regional Sales Manager with insurance business savvy and charismatic gusto to play an integral role with the Prairies Insurance Distribution team at Canada Life. We are ideally seeking a candidate based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, who can participate in our hybrid work environment and maintain a strong presence with local partners and stakeholders.
What you will do:
- Leverage your 7+ years in sales/wholesaling to be the authority on life insurance, disability and critical illness products, sales strategies, the financial services industry and applicable legislation.
- Understand and communicate tax and estate planning related to life and living benefits to a variety of advisors
- Expand and multiply the acquisition of new life insurance, disability and critical illness business by working with advisors
- Deliver product expertise, creative sales ideas and industry insight - our product shelf is robust, dependable and effective and we’re looking to you to show case to advisors the power behind Canada Life solutions.

With your credibility and expertise as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (CH.F.C.), Personal Financial Planner (PFP), and/or Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), you're ready to lead, inspire, and set the agenda. You'll be supported by proven processes, product solutions, strategies, and technical expertise while leveraging your professional financial planning and wealth management credentials to guide both clients and your team to success.
What you will bring
- 7+ years' experience in financial services / insurance industry
- Post-secondary education, preferably in finance; or equivalent work experience
- Strong leadership, sales and relationship-building skills
- Good knowledge of Canadian life insurance, disability and critical illness products, sales strategies, the financial services industry and applicable legislation
- You’re creative and disciplined. You recognize you’re on your own — there’s no activity if you don’t self-generate.
- Your day runs the gamut from researching trends and business growth to sharing actionable ideas. You transition seamlessly from your desktop to your iPhone and face-to-face.
- You thrive because you get personal satisfaction that comes from helping others succeed. Your mentoring nature is part of your DNA, and you appreciate the key role you play in helping Canadians reach their goals and dreams.
- General understanding of tax and estate planning principles related to life insurance and living benefit solutions

An asset if you hold recognized financial services designations such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (CH.F.C.), Personal Financial Planner (PFP), or Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU).
- Experience supporting advisors in a variety of business models including Managing General Agencies and National Accounts would be an asset
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to travel throughout an assigned region using your own means of transportation

The base salary for this position is between $80,800 - $130,800 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
