The Payment Processor will be responsible for timely and accurate application of payments for group life and health clients.  This role is located in Winnipeg.

 

What you will do: 

  • Monitor and process the incoming payments received by electronic funds transfer, wire transfer and cheque
  • Monitor a shared inbox answering payment related inquiries 
  • Identify client back-up sent via email to a shared inbox and match to electronic funds or wire transfer to ensure accurate application
  • Accurately process payments for group life and health clients on multiple systems
  • Investigate unidentified payments received to ensure accurate application to the correct policy
  • Manage incoming internal mail received in office and prepare cheque included for application
  • Work closely with the department team members to advise of payment or request for information
  • Contact the clients to request for information on the intended application of payments
  • Liaise with other departments to gain and provide information
     

What you will bring: 

 

  • Strong and effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent team play with the ability to work independently
  • Focus on quality and attention to detail
  • Excellent keyboarding skills with a good knowledge of Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of FS-CD system (Financial Services Collections and Disbursement) would be a definite asset
  • Reliability Status Security Clearance – this can only be completed with candidates who receive an offer of employment. This is a personal security status that is required as a condition of employment before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada  website.  The cost of submitting these checks will be covered by Canada Life.

The base salary for this position is between $31,200 - $42,100 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
