We are looking for a Manager, Technology Finance.

 

The Manager Technology Finance, reporting to the Director, Strategy will be responsible for providing financial management to technology teams within Digital Technology, Canada. Throughout the above support they will lead the financial expense reporting and analysis. With your financial and project management acumen and SAP skills, you will ensure processes and deliverables are managed in a fiscally responsible manner, including achievement of annual budget targets.  

 

What you will do

  • Support and prepare various month end, quarter-end and year-end financial reporting packages for Digital Technology teams.   

  • Support monthly financial forecasting and variance analysis across multiple technology teams. 

  • Support the annual budget planning cycle through the coordination of submissions from the Project Management Office, Global Technology Finance and OCIO Finance teams. 

  • Work with Project Management Office teams to support invoicing processing, contractor spend, operating cost policies and procedures   

  • Support ad hoc requests in the timeline required. 

  • Provide support to larger or more complex projects through financial, project and performance reporting to promote effective communication and decision making. 

  • Takes accountability for own deliverables keeping in mind team goals and objectives. 

  • Supports organizational change and improvement, including supporting the implementation and adherence to changes in processes and practices. 

  • Improves current practices and tools. 

 

What you will bring 

  • 5+ years of financial reporting or project accounting related experience. 

  • Familiarity with SAP FICO. 

  • Strong Excel skills. 

  • You have a natural curiously to learn new processes/systems and an eager eye to improve processes. 

  • A strong sense of initiative, and ability to work independently, escalating issues and asking questions when you need. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills 

  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills. 

  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities. 

  • Self-motivated individual with excellent analytical abilities 

  • Knowledge of Office Suite of products (Word, Outlook) and strong computer skills. 

  • Knowledge of Teams, SharePoint and Power Bi would be an asset. 

  • Holding or working towards an accounting designation or certification is preferred.

The base salary for this position is between $102,000 - $152,000 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
