We are looking for an Associate Business Operations Specialist.

 

The Associate Business Operations Specialist position is an exciting role that is important in achieving our vision to become the best provider of disability management solutions. This position allows you to work with many different teams within our Disability organization and larger Workplace Solutions division.  

 

This position is suited to an individual who has an enthusiasm for investigating, analyzing, and solving problems.

 

As an Associate Business Operations Specialist, you will be developing and communicating solutions to a variety of teams within Canada Life Workplace Solutions. The solutions and support you provide will be invaluable to our clients.  

 

This is a Winnipeg-based position.  This role is an excellent training ground for the Business Analyst career stream.

 

What you will do 

  • Handle Inquiries
    • Support disability systems by providing technical and process assistance to field inquiries.
    • Identify recurring problems or trends to increase efficiency within Workplace Solutions / Disability.
  • System Support
    • Perform daily system maintenance tasks such as handling system exceptions, security requests, table updates, etc.
    • Perform regular audits to ensure we meet security requirements.
    • Test and provide other support activities for product fixes and product releases.
  • Look for opportunities to improve current systems and processes through small projects.
    • Investigate complex issues that may involve both application and process issues.
  • Document problems and assist Business Analysts in finding solutions.
  • Escalate, investigate cause of, and communicate significant problems on behalf of the organization: e.g., system outages or performance issues.
  • Maintain technical and procedural documentation. 

 

What you will bring 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including clear articulation of problems to both business and technology teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads and shifting priorities.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Solution focused – enjoys the challenge of problem solving. 
  • Aptitude for technology – love figuring out how systems and applications work; working knowledge of Workplace Solutions Disability systems is an asset.
  • Experience with disability and/or health & dental claim adjudication is an asset.
  • Commitment to self-development.
  • Proficient user in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and technical skill with Excel an asset.

The base salary for this position is between  $43,800 - $65,700 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
