LP Financial Planning Services Ltd (LPFPS) is a Winnipeg based CIRO dealer that has been supporting financial advisors for over three decades and continually strives to integrate industry leading processes and systems. Presently servicing a select group of advisors in both Winnipeg and Western Canada, LP Financial is taking steps to grow its footprint and service offering in the Canadian financial services distribution landscape. LPFPS works closely with its affiliate, Value Partners Investments (VPI), an investment firm managing over $6.1 billion in client assets nationwide. Position Summary
The position and will be responsible for delivering outstanding financial services to a diverse book of in-house clients, including high-net-worth households. The role includes leadership responsibilities, providing guidance to the Associate Advisor and contributing to strategic business growth through client retention and the expansion of assets under management. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Initiatives, there will be close collaboration required with the senior team at LP Financial and Value Partners to execute strategic initiatives and deliver on the value proposition to our advisor partners. The is an office-based role with a broad range of responsibilities that are expected to expand as the company continues to grow.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work alongside the senior advisor as part of a planned succession strategy to learn, transition, and ultimately assume responsibility for the existing book of business
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their goals, objectives and aspirations in relation to their household’s wealth & estate requirements
- Provide and maintain comprehensive financial projections and plans to clients
- Deliver outstanding client service, ensuring client satisfaction and clear understanding of their investments and the relation to those investments to their plan and external economic and risk factors
- Integrate and execute insurance, tax and estate planning as part of ongoing service plans
- Utilize proprietary technology and communication suite to grow, retain and service clientele efficiently
- Develop deep expertise on VPI’s product and service offerings
- Lead and coach office administrative team to effectively manage client relationships
- Promote the value proposition of VPI
Education, Work Experience & Designations Required:
- University degree
- Completion of CSC/IFIC required
- Accredited financial planning designation (CFP, RFP, PFP)
- Mutual fund licensed
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry
- Comprehensive financial planning knowledge including investments, asset protection, retirement, estate planning, cash management and tax issues
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience using financial projection software
Desirables:
- Life Insurance license
- Professional designation (CA, CMA, CGA, LLB)
- Additional estate and/or tax courses

- Attention to detail and follow-through skills
- Excellent computer skills – proficiency in the use of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and financial planning software

The base salary for this position is between $64,800.00 - $107,900.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
