Disability Management & Reintegration Specialist

Reporting to the Program Manager, Disability Management & Reintegration, the Disability Management & Reintegration Specialist will be part of a dynamic group of professionals working to enhance the health and wellness of employees as part of the Employee Well-being team.

 

What you will do:
•    Employee and line of business support pre and post-disability leave and/or when medical conditions or disabilities are impacting an employee in the workplace
•    Assist with the identification of accommodation needs and implementation of workplace individual accommodation plans for employees with disabilities
•    Employee and line of business support when an employee’s absence is not medically supported
•    Identify accessibility solutions and liaise with appropriate healthcare providers
•    Identify fitness to work implications when absence is related to health or disability, including concerns regarding the potential transmission of infectious diseases in the workplace 
•    Maintain relevant professional practice requirements and standards



Success in this role contributes to support and services that enhance employee engagement, add to the employee value proposition, reduce direct and indirect costs associated with illness and injury, and positively impact talent retention for the business. 

 

What you will bring:

•    Professional designation in a relevant regulated healthcare field (Occupational Therapy, Kinesiology, Occupational health nursing, Social Work, etc.)
•    5+ years experience (corporate environment preferred) with demonstrated expertise in disability management, early and safe return to work programs, attendance management, and workplace accommodation & accessibility support
•    Registration in good standing with the relevant regulatory body
•    Working proficiency in French would be considered an asset
•    Working knowledge of Human Rights, Occupational Health and Safety, Accessibility, and Labour legislation
•    Proficiency in employee relations, coaching, emotional intelligence and conflict resolution
•    Strong computer and documentation skills
•    Certification in Office Ergonomics preferred
•    Previous experience using electronic charting systems
•    French and English is an asset in order to support clients from various jurisdictions

The base salary for this position is between  $52,800 - $97,700 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
