We are looking for a Director, Technical Solutions - Regulatory Technology. This will be a hybrid role (3 in-office days per week) located out of Winnipeg, Toronto or London.

 

The Director, Technical Solutions – Regulatory Technology will work closely with our Business and Technology Leadership to ensure cross-enterprise regulatory compliance with a specialized focus on the Bill 64 Program.

This role requires strong Technical and Delivery Leadership, with a focus on communication, critical thinking and a bias to action. You will play a key role in developing and implementing solutions and business processes which directly reduce organizational risk and drive organizational compliance.

 

What you will do 

  • Oversight and Delivery - Lead and drive cross-functional teams to deliver product solutions that meet business requirements and compliance with Regulatory Programs such as Bill 64.
  • Technology Leadership - Collaborate with Technology Leadership teams to ensure reusable patterns and scalable solutions are developed across the enterprise while reducing bespoke solutions
  • Regulatory Consultation and Program Development - Clarify Regulatory compliance outcomes for the organization and support the development of cross-enterprise Program Governance, Delivery structure, Technical Solutions and Change Management
  • Reporting - Design and prepare recurring regulatory reporting for internal and external reports related to Bill 64 compliance including Steering Committee materials, Retention and Disposition KPI’s, Risk positions and Ecosystem compliance
  • Manage risk and compliance in accordance with Canadian and Global standards. Ensure alignment/ adherence to Enterprise technology standards, vendor management standards, and risk standards
  • Drive strategic outcomes - Balance Regulatory Compliance with Business Strategy, using strategic thinking to ensure we are effectively investing in solutions that support the overarching organizational outcomes

What you will bring 

  • Post Secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Technology Leadership experience with ability to manage cross-enterprise teams and drive results in a complex, matrix environment
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Experience leading distributed teams including offshore delivery models is an asset
  • Ability to pivot and quickly change direction in response to changing priorities. 
  • Experience coaching and mentoring technical practitioners
  • Strong communication, collaboration and relationship building skills. 
  • Ability to lead, motivate and drive performance within a delivery team.
  • Curiosity, problem solving skills and critical thinking skills.
  • Growth mindset: open to new ways of working, experimentation, ability to use a try-it-and-fail-fast approach to ideas.

The base salary for this position is between  $89,800 - $166,300 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
