We’re looking for a Client Benefit Specialist to join our Benefits Administration Solutions team, a leading provider of outsourced plan administration services. Our team is powered by a relentless focus on serving our customers and delivering flexible benefits plans offered by Canada Life.

The opportunity

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? This is your chance to join a close-knit team of highly professional, customer-focused individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional service. In this role, you’ll work directly with clients to seamlessly administer their workplace benefit plans and play a critical role in maintaining long-term satisfaction.

You’ll have the opportunity to shape the client experience, support implementations, define and test system enhancements, streamline processes, and serve as a trusted resource for outsourced administration and supported systems.

What you will do

  • Act as the primary liaison between outsourced clients and Canada Life teams, managing employee benefits plans and annual flexible plan re-enrolment activities
  • Establish administrative processes for outsourced and non-outsourced clients
  • Participate in new client implementations and business process improvements, including the analysis and set up of the client’s benefit plan
  • Gather client requirements for payroll, HRIS electronic feeds, and reporting
  • Collaborate with IS teams to resolve technical issues related to GroupNet Flex
  • Train clients and provide ongoing support on GroupNet Flex system usage
  • Provide second-level support to the Benefits Administration Solutions call centre
  • Occasional business travel may be required

What you will bring

  • As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism is an asset (fluent in French and English) but is required for Quebec only as the position will regularly serve our clients with French and English-speaking needs
  • Superior interpersonal skills and a proven ability to maintain valued relationships
  • Strong understanding of group life and health products and administrative processes
  • Strong technical skills (Excel, Access, Word)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and aptitude for mathematics (an asset)
  • Reliability Status Security Clearance – this can only be completed with candidates who receive an offer of employment. This is a personal security status that is required as a condition of employment before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada  website. The cost of submitting these checks will be covered by Canada Life

Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following head office locations: Winnipeg or Montreal.

-

The base salary for this position is between $57,100 - $85,600 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.

Career opportunities will be open a minimum of 5 business days from the date of posting, closing dates will vary depending on the search activity. All applications received will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
