Claims Assistant (bilingual)

The main purpose of this job is to provide full administrative support for the entire Living Benefits Claims Department and is the main contact for our Living Benefit insurance partners in the field (agents, brokers, policyholders, Sales and Marketing Centre personnel, etc…).
 
What you will do 

  • Sorting, screening and entering of incoming mail, including fax and emails on the Claims Tracking System. 
  • Customer service and handling phone calls and emails as the main contact for the claims department
  • Setting up new claims
  • Picking up and sorting benefit and medfee cheques and putting them in proper envelopes
  • Handling letters regarding our stale-dated cheques


What you will bring 

  • Bilingualism (fluent in French and English) required, as the position will regularly serve our clients with English and French-speaking needs.
  • Excellent keyboarding skills;
  • Good reading comprehension;
  • Basic PC computer & Microsoft Office skills;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Strong customer service skills;
  • Comfortable working in a technology based environment;
  • A minimum of 1 year of cumulative work experience;
  • A high school diploma;

The base salary for this position is between $39,100 - $52,800 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
