We are looking for a Business Operations Specialist
Investment Operations Support is a team providing support to the Investment Operations team and its technology requirements. This role is located in Winnipeg, MB.
Our team is looking for an individual that can help us in our efforts to support the daily operations requirements and work on several projects and initiatives throughout the year. This individual’s focus will be on supporting reporting requirements of various stakeholders.
What you will do
- The Business Operations Specialist works closely with the IS team and business leaders to support the day-to day operations
- Provide initial technical support to investment operations
- Maintain key configuration in our back-office system
- Champions of continuous improvement in providing technical support and oversight for any investment operations initiatives
- Liaison with IS, external vendors and other stakeholders in the support of our back-office system
- Work closely with our vendor in raising system issues and with the IS team
- Performing initial functional testing of system changes and supporting user acceptance testing of those changes
- Manage reporting development needs of investment operations and their stakeholders
What you will bring
- Business Analyst Certificate program or equivalent combination of training and 2-5 years of experience
- Good understanding of business principles and investment accounting
- Understanding of SQL query building with SQL Developer or other software
- Have experience using report writing tools such as BI Publisher
- Understanding of general IT project methodologies, processes, and practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Expertise with MS Office suite and use of Excel macros.
- Communicates in a clear and concise manner, both written and verbal, that is appropriate for the audience
- Good interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to adapt to change and perform effectively under pressure
- Effective planning and organizational skills
- Available for on-call afterhours support as required

The base salary for this position is between $50,400 - $75,600 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
