Associate Manager, Investment Financial Reporting

The Associate Manager, Investment Financial Reporting, plays a key role in managing the financial reporting and analysis of the company’s portfolio investments. Reporting to the Manager, Investment Financial Reporting, this role is responsible for reviewing investment reporting, supporting the development and analysis of accounting policies, and driving continuous improvement within reporting processes and controls. 

 

 

What you will do:

 

  • Analyze investment financial results and prepare ad hoc analyses for Senior Management, internal stakeholders, and external parties.
  • Analyze and review a variety of financial reports on investment activity and holdings to support consolidated financial statements, tax reports, budgeting, regulatory reporting and analyst materials.
  • Review financial statement and MD&A investment related disclosures.
  • Research specialized accounting issues and provide support to implement new International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and training to staff, fostering a strong learning and performance culture.
  • Lead special projects and ad hoc financial initiatives, driving process improvement and reporting efficiency. 

 

 

What you will bring:

 

  • University degree, in Math, Business, Economics or similar.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Familiar with accounting for investments under International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to lead processes and develop strong team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities while managing deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in written form.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • SAP experience would be considered an asset.

The base salary for this position is between $70,800 - $120,800 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
