Administrative Assistant (12 month contract)

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for classifying and uploading documents related to new and ongoing disability claims. This role is also responsible for sending correspondence related to outstanding information requested for disability claims.
What you will do:
- Efficient and accurate entry of data and upload of documents related to new and ongoing claims in Canada Life eDisability systems
- Efficient and accurate upload of claims forms and other documents to correct work queues
- Identify and appropriately edit correspondence template to follow up outstanding information requested for disability claims
- Work with DMSO and Central Services staff to ensure client specific needs are met
- Assist with other support functions as required
- Sorting, receiving, and processing physically received mail
What you will bring:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task within multiple programs in a dual screen environment
- Ability to handle and identify large volumes of mail
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Well developed organizational, time management and prioritization skills
- Proficient user in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams
- Experience using MS Teams an asset
- Strong typing and data entry skills
- Strong communication skills
- Well-developed problem-solving skills
- Bilingual French as asset
- Reliability Status Security Clearance – this can only be completed with candidates who receive an offer of employment. This is a personal security status that is required as a condition of employment before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website. The cost of submitting these checks will be covered by Canada Life.

The base salary for this position is between $34,900-$47,200 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
