Role Description
Reporting to the Sales Support Manager, the Sales Support Associate plays a critical role in the operations of the Group Benefits sales team in BC. In this role the successful candidate will work closely with Account Managers, Group Benefit Analysts, the Service team, and advisors to deliver Canada Life products to the market. The Sales Support Associate is a self starter who always has the foundation of a great team behind them; they display strength in critical thinking, attention to detail, and communication.
What you will do:
- Prepare quotes and presentations via in-house software and Microsoft Office suite tools
- Package and email annual renewals to advisors on behalf of Account Executives
- Underwrite and price new groups and amendments
- Work collaboratively with Group Benefit Analysts and Account Managers to deliver Canada Life products to the market
- Develop a strong competency of our systems and processes
- Act as a liaison between our office and advisors to investigate and gather missing information
- Certain assignments and specialized tasks: such as broker commissions, report creation, and other various administrative duties
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Post-secondary education
- Strong critical thinking skills with an analytical approach
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in using Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe; aptitude for learning new technologies
- Excellent time management and organization: ability to prioritize multiple tasks and expectations, ability to plan and organize work, meets deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal. Responds promptly to requests; tact, courteous, and patient in all communications internal and external
- Experience in the group benefits industry would be an asset

The base salary for this position is between $43,600 - $65,300 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
