The Regional Sales Support Manager fosters a culture of success through coaching and empowering a team of regionally-based sales support staff to ultimately drive group sales growth.
What you will do
- Provide leadership and coaching to a regional sales support team consisting of a Sales Support Leader, Group Benefit Analysts and Sales Support Associates to drive performance and achieve business objectives and operational excellence
- Develop and mentor the team as it supports the group benefit sales processes
- Responsible for ensuring staff are trained and educated on proper pricing and analysis while ensuring underwriting parameters are met on all outgoing quotes, amendments and renewals.
- Understand group-specific channel (Internal sales, Advisor, etc) partner strategies, systems and tools and integrate them into the overall business plan
- Hire, train and develop key talent to support each of the sales roles within the Region.
- Foster high performance sales culture with coaching and engagement at its core
- Responsible for working with regional sales and service leadership teams to create annual and quarterly business plans, in alignment with the national operations strategy
- Support, champion and implement key regional and head office initiatives to the region including new process, product and technology roll outs, participation in field advisory committees, etc.
- Foster a clear understanding of role objectives, organizational processes and identify inefficiencies
- Sponsor the execution of compliance including education, coaching and monitoring
- Create and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with local distribution management and head office partners
What you will bring
- 3+ years of group benefits leadership is ideal, however not a requirement
- A business development mindset working to drive results and unlock barriers to success
- Extensive experience with the stages of the group benefits sales process including quoting, renewals, amendments, underwriting, etc.
- Strong understanding of how KPIs are measured and reported
- Subject matter expert with respect to underwriting and pricing principles in order educate sales support staff and to support account executives with field advisor inquiries and product offerings.
- Proven track record of success as a coach in a high-performance sales culture
- Proven ability in leading a diverse team of administrative and analytical operations professionals within a regional team
- Highly developed change management skills and ability to lead a team through periods of change
- Highly developed communication skills to be able to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Ability to build and maintain trusting partnerships with senior leaders
- Knowledge of Excel and CoPilot would be an asset
- Post secondary education required in a business-related field

The base salary for this position is between $90,400 - $140,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
