Client Relationship Manager (Group Retirement Services)

We are looking for a Client Relationship Manager, Group Retirement Services

 

This role focuses on developing strong relationships through proactive service to our clients and distribution partners. It offers dynamic, challenging, and meaningful work in a fast-paced environment. Your motivation and drive to support our clients, partners, and our team will help you to meet or exceed your objectives while providing an impactful experience to all of those you work with.  This role is aligned to our office in Vancouver, BC.

 

What you will do

  • Proactively create and execute an annual service plan for your defined block of clients and distribution partners
  • Identify client needs/growth opportunities through strategic conversations and suggest appropriate products and services
  • Communicate new product and service enhancements with clients and distribution partners
  • Respond to general and technical plan operation and legislative inquiries pertaining to all types of group retirement and savings products
  • Support clients with education and resources, including communication materials, to help them manage a successful retirement and savings plan
  • Manage plan amendments to ensure regulatory requirements are meet and our internal partners have all required documentation
  • Develop and deliver presentations for annual stewardship meetings
  • Partner with the sales team for collaboration, meetings and finalist presentations
  • Perform all other duties related to the management of accounts assigned

 

What you will bring

  • 5+ years of client management experience; preference will be given to candidates with experience in the field of group retirement, group benefits, and/or financial services industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Analytical aptitude with strong capacity to make decisions and be innovative in problem solving
  • Highly adaptable to growth and change in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners
  • Organizational talent showing skill in self-management, prioritization and success meeting tight deadlines
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs
  • Designation of RPA (Retirement Plans Associate) or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) is a benefit and will be a requirement as part of the role
  • Undergraduate diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle, given the travel needs
  • Understanding of capital accumulation and defined benefit plans is preferred

The base salary for this position is between $54,500 - $81,800 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
