Solutions Architect supporting Canada Life Digital Technology and Experience, you will be responsible for leading the design of robust, scalable and mission critical customer facing applications. You’ll work in a complex environment with a mix of legacy and modern systems and infrastructure. As we modernize and deliver exceptional experiences we are seeking a skilled solution architect to play a key role in identifying opportunities and influencing and guiding our transformation journey.
What you will do
- Support and drive the organizational goals to simplify, automate and reuse technology assets
- Foster collaboration and understanding across all teams to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are met while balancing business goals
- Develop and maintain application technology roadmaps that are aligned to technology and business strategy
- Define standards and best practices in relation to digital architecture concerns
- Influence and contribute to the development of technology strategy and delivery planning
- Collaborate and guide engineering teams and applications towards target state architectures
- Coach peers to successfully adopt standards and patterns
- Develop and review solution designs
What you will bring
- 5+ years of hands on experience as a solution or enterprise architect having worked in designing and supporting digital experiences in enterprise environments
- Blend of technical skills and business acumen
- Proven experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at complex concerts at various levels
- Curiosity and passion to leverage modern technology to improve the customer experience
- Experience in the financial services, insurance or similar regulated industry
- Experience with application modernization
- Experience architecting digital experience solutions with public cloud and SaaS products
- Integration architectures and patterns (e.g. etl, event, api )
- Working knowledge of security, identity and authorization patterns
- Participated in leading POCs and vendor evaluations
- Content management
- *Salesforce and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
- Front-end UI frameworks (e.g. REACT, VUEJS)
- Architecture experience using modelling languages (e.g. UML, TOGAF, Archimate, etc.)
- Certification with TOGAF (9.2) is beneficial
- Developing target state architectures and roadmaps
- Experience working in product and agile environments
- Hand’s on experience solutioning mobile applications beneficial

The base salary for this position is between $90,000.00 - $140,000.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
