Role Requirements

  • Experience with Appian 20. + Cloud versions, Ability to write complex Appian SAIL Code 
  • Strong understanding of Appian Objects such as Records, Reports, Tasks, News, Sites, Actions, Expression Rules, Constants, Query Rules, Web API, Interface Rules, CDTs, Process Models. Constants, Decisions,  Integrations, Connected Systems, Data Stores, Groups, Feeds etc.
  • Have worked on one or more end to end Appian BPM implementation (Design/Develop/Deploy/Package).
  • 15+ years of experience in Appian or equivalent BPM in hands on development environment 
  • Experience in building frameworks, workflow ruleset and BPM concepts.
  • Sound Knowledge of Appian Process/Solution and Infrastructure Architecture (Infrastructure Architecture must include knowledge of Appian In-Memory KDB Engines, Sizing, Scaling Vertically/Horizontally).
  • Sound Knowledge App Servers such as JBOSS, TOMCAT etc. and Web Servers such as Apache etc.
  • Solid fundamentals in languages such as Java. Knowledge about OOP Concepts.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases management systems (RDBMS), data modeling, database design, and Structured Query Language (SQL) using SQL Server/DB2/MySQL.
  • Experience with configuration, deployment, and testing of enterprise software applications (CICD Preferred).
  • Strong problem solving and design skills Appian-specific BPM development.
  • Integration with Web Services (SOAP and REST both), ESBs such as MuleSoft, Business Rules Engine with event-based architecture such Kafka, Experience with Embedded SAIL.
  • Hands- On Experience in writing Appian Plugins (includes Smart Services, Function Plugins and Servlet Plugins), Connected Systems and Component UI Plugins (Preferred).
  • Experience with J2EE Design Patterns such as JSPs, Java Servlets, EJBs, JDBC etc.
  • Strong understanding of JMS Messaging Services, Spring Security Framework and Hibernate Technologies.
  • Broad and deep experience with technologies such as CSS3/HTML5/JavaScript/Angular JS/React etc 
  • Expert in user interface development, engineering cross-browser, cross device compliant code.

 

Preferred Experience Level:

  • 3 to 5 years of team management team(s) of software engineers or site reliability engineers, and provided technical leadership, direct 1-on-1 mentoring and coaching to improve their technical skills, and other people management responsibilities.
  • You are enthusiastic about software performance, including tools and technologies used to solve complex performance problems.
  • You have effective communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills; ability to convey complex, emergent, problems in a way that lets us focus on solving the root cause of the problem, rather than its symptoms.
  • You have a proven ability to make complex decisions about what to prioritize and what to ignore. You identify where you can make the most beneficial impact for our customers and continue working until that benefit has been achieved.
  • You are enthusiastic about adding data to our processes where it is missing so that we can gain insight in to where our problems are.
  • You understand the value of open-source technologies, how they add capabilities that we would not want to build and maintain ourselves and know how to get them deployed and adopted in a mature software development environment.
  • Most importantly, you are enthusiastic about keeping the customers we have happy with our product!

 

Education:

  • B.S or master’s in computer science, or equivalent related field

The base salary for this position is between  $74,500 - $137,900 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
