As a Senior Market Insights Analyst, you will be a trusted partner in delivering actionable insights that empower business decisions. This role combines strategic thinking with analytical rigor to support Canada Life’s growth by monitoring market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments. You will lead initiatives that support core business activities, enhance operational efficiencies, and ensure robust processes for data integrity and reporting.

 

What you will do 

  • Oversee design and improvements to Market Insights dashboards for Wealth and Insurance, leveraging tools like Power BI
  • Take ownership of market insights projects, from stakeholder collaboration to presenting findings and recommendations
  • Deliver monthly wealth and quarterly market share reports with analysis and context, along with other standard reporting requirements
  • Monitor and share relevant market intelligence through weekly bulletins, including commentary on trends and implications
  • Maintain a comprehensive and accessible repository of competitor and market activity
  • Support competitive and market initiatives through ad hoc deep dives and proactive insight generation

 

What you will bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience in an analytical role
  • Strong research, contextualization, and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of or has the aptitude to develop an understanding of insurance/wealth products
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize a diverse workload
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and can effectively manage and adapt to change
  • Ability to develop strong business acumen
  • Experience with or has the technical aptitude to learn and use third party software and intelligence tools
  • Proficient in data visualization tools including Power BI, Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience in financial services, specifically life insurance and/or wealth management preferred

The base salary for this position is between $62,800 - $104,700 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
