Senior DevOps Engineering Specialist (Appian)

We are hiring for an Senior DevOps (Appian) Engineering Specialist.
This position requires Reliability Status security clearance. This is a personnel security status that is required before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website.
What you will do
- Manage and maintain Appian environments (development, test, production).
- Perform deployments, patching, and upgrades in coordination with Appian Cloud and internal teams.
- Monitor system performance, logs, and health metrics to ensure optimal operation.
- Manage user access, security configurations, and group permissions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, working with Appian support as needed.
- Maintain documentation for environment configurations, deployment processes, and administrative procedures.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automation for Appian deployments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Appian developers
- Establish and enforce Appian development standards, best practices, and governance models.
What you will bring
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Appian development and administration.
- Appian Level 1 or higher certification preferred.
- Experience with Appian components: SAIL, Records, Reports, Sites, Process Models, Plug-ins, RPA, IDP, and AI capabilities
- Strong understanding of Appian architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Exposure to ITIL practices and incident/change management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools, log analysis, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of networking, SSL, SAML, and integration protocols (REST/SOAP).

The base salary for this position is between $63,500.00 - $117,400.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
