Regional Sales Manager, Insurance (Bilingual Mandarin or Cantonese)

We’re looking for a Bilingual Outside Wholesaler, Insurance (English + Cantonese/Mandarin) to drive a key region for our insurance Distribution line of business. This role delivers product expertise, provides industry insights, and drives life insurance, disability and critical illness business sales by partnering with a variety of advisors. Our product shelf is robust, dependable and effective and we’re looking to you to show case to advisors the power behind Canada Life solutions.
What you will do
- Provide expertise on life insurance, disability and critical illness products, sales strategies, the financial services industry and applicable legislation to advisors + clients
- Leverage your understanding of tax and estate planning related to life and living benefits
- Use your credibility and expertise (CFP, CHFC, PFP and/or CLU) and ability to leverage product solutions and strategies to create an excellent advisor experience
- Apply creativity, discipline, and initiative as you drive complex case
What you will bring
- Bilingual in Mandarin/Cantonese is a must have
- 7+ years of experience in financial services / insurance industry ideally in life insurance
- Post-secondary education, preferably in finance; or equivalent work experience
- Strong leadership, sales and relationship-building skills
- Sound knowledge of Canadian life insurance, disability and critical illness products, sales strategies, the financial services industry and applicable legislation
- General understanding of tax and estate planning principles related to life insurance and living benefit solutions
- Financial services designations, such as CFP, CHFC, PFP or CLU are considered an asset
- Experience supporting advisors in a variety of business models including Managing General Agencies and National Accounts would be an asset
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to travel throughout an assigned region using your own means of transportation

The base salary for this position is between $92,500 - $142,500 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
