Performance Analyst

We are hiring for a Performance Analyst in the Toronto or London office.

 

Support the execution of the team’s IMR (Investment Manager Review) process on existing and proposed products for the Individual Wealth and Workplace Solutions platforms. The Performance Analyst will be part of every aspect of the performance analytics process to drive the understanding of industry, client, and competitor trends that influence our Wealth platforms.

 

What you will do:

 

•    Support various functions within IMR and Performance Analytics relating to investment policy statements and regulatory reporting such as MRFPs, prospectus renewal and fund facts.

 

•    Ensure fund performance is available to be measured via third party data vendors such as Morningstar Direct and eVestment.

 

•    Support the Investment Manager Review process, including both quantitative and qualitative component preparing various materials and acting as “gate keeper” for investment fund databases which are crucial to the performance measurement process.

 

•    Contribute to and support ongoing industry and competitive research.

 

What you will bring:

 

•    2+ years of investment manager research processes including security selection, attribution analysis, due diligence interviewing techniques, performance evaluation, portfolio rebalancing, trading, management and operations.


•    2+ years of experience conducting performance analytics using Morningstar Direct, eVestment alliance, or other industry fund analytics databases.


•    Knowledge and experience in performance measurement and attribution analysis techniques and preferably coding experience using Python.


•    Demonstrated knowledge of the mutual fund and segregated fund industry, including features and options of mutual funds, segregated funds, alternative investments, and ETFs.


•    Highly beneficial to have experience in constructing and advising on investment and regulatory documentation including Investment Policy Statements, prospectuses, MRFPs, fund facts, etc. 

 

•    Interest in pursuing an industry designation such as CFA, CIPM, CAIA, CIM, MBA.

The base salary for this position is between  $54,300$95,200 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
