We are seeking a detail-oriented Operations Specialist to join our Quadrus Dealer Operations Team, reporting to the Associate Manager. This role is a critical part of ensuring operational excellence and data integrity within Canada Life’s systems, focusing on regulatory compliance and accurate dealer data management for Financial Security Advisors and Investors. The Operations Specialist is expected to bring technical expertise, strong communication abilities, and problem-solving skills, while also serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on dealer systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Load and reconcile files to maintain accurate dealership records against fund company and issuer data.
• Investigate and resolve system data discrepancies and exceptions.
• Execute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual system processes critical to dealer platform operations.
• Address and resolve data issues raised by business users, adhering to defined service standards.
• Submit compensation files within strict timelines.
• Generate system scripts and scans from various platforms.
• Collaborate with teams such as Compliance, Tax/Accounting, and Compensation Specialists when required.
• Communicate regularly with mutual fund companies to support operational needs.
• Perform troubleshooting, problem resolution, and provide training as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including procedural guides and job aids.
Qualifications and Skills
• Knowledge and experience with mutual funds, segregated funds, and investment products are considered assets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all management levels.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Self-driven and motivated to excel in a dynamic setting.
• Completion of the IFIC Operations and/or Investment Funds Course is an asset.
• Proficiency in tools such as JIRA/Confluence, SQL, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and an aptitude for learning new technologies.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English is a strong asset.

The base salary for this position is between $43,600 - $65,300 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
