Client Advisory Services (CAS) is a key driver of Canada Life’s long-term growth, working alongside our Workplace, Wealth and Insurance businesses to provide clients and plan members with personalized advice and meaningful solutions. We’re focused on building deeper relationships with end-clients and plan members by expanding opportunities through employee advisors. Our team brings together several specialized teams—Freedom Experience (licensed retirement and insurance specialists), Financial Solutions Centre & Continuum (collaborative, team based financial advice), and Pinnacle (advisor succession and business transition support).

We are hiring a Vice President, Growth Strategy, Enablement & Performance, reporting to the SVP, Client Advisory Services. In this role you will drive our growth by leading our strategic growth initiatives, sales enablement and performance management. You will set long term priorities, strengthen advice and product alignment, and guide client engagement strategy through strong governance and collaboration with senior leaders across the enterprise.

 What you will do: 

  • Establish and lead a team culture that seeks external influences and leans into leveraging AI daily with a growth and learning mindset.
  • Lead the development and delivery of growth strategies across our team with a focus on advice to achieve long‑term business objectives.
  • Apply strategic frameworks, data-driven decision making and market insights to shape the future state of Client Advisory Services. .
  • Translate long‑term growth ambitions into clear strategic initiatives, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead  advice and enablement initiatives that enhance advisor  effectiveness.
  • Own the design, oversight, and evolution of the performance management framework for our team ensuring alignment  across Workplace, Wealth, and Insurance, in partnership with enterprise performance teams.
  • Develop and lead a test‑and‑learn strategy to improve advice effectiveness and client engagement, with a strong focus on client and advisor retention .

What you will bring 

  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in advice / sales enablement, financial services, including senior leadership roles.
  • A track record of shaping long‑term strategy for sales‑driven businesses within complex, enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and navigate a matrixed organization to drive outcomes.
  • Proven experience designing and executing growth strategies with clear, measurable results.
  • Expertise in building performance management frameworks that link strategy, metrics, insights, and decision‑making.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to anchor plans and recommendations in economics and financial drivers.
  • Experience advancing AI, tools, processes, and operating models that improve advice efficiency and conversion.
  • Ability to build collaborative, strategic partnerships across functions and levels of leadership.
  • Strong talent leadership capabilities with a focus on developing people, fostering accountability, and building an engaged culture.
  • Demonstrated change leadership, driving enterprise‑wide initiatives with clarity, alignment, and momentum
