The Cloud Solution Architect – App Enablement is responsible for leading initiatives related to application modernization, overseeing cloud migration initiatives within the organization, and on innovative modern solution design. This role requires a strategic thinker and a hands-on technical leader who can assess the current state of enterprise applications, design future-state architectures, and implement innovative solutions that leverage modern cloud-based technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud platforms, development methodologies, and will be a driving force behind application transformation initiatives.
What you will do:
Application Modernization
- Evaluate existing legacy applications and systems to identify opportunities for modernization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a modernization roadmap that aligns with business goals.
- Lead efforts to refactor, rearchitect, or replace legacy systems with modern, scalable solutions.
- Advocate for the adoption of modern software development practices, such as DevOps and microservices architecture.
Cloud Migration Strategy and Execution
- Develop cloud migration strategies that minimize business disruption and optimize performance.
- Lead and execute the migration of applications to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Ensure a smooth transition by working closely with DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams.
- Assess and implement best practices for cloud cost management and optimization.
Solution Design and Architecture
- Design and implement end-to-end technical solutions that meet business requirements.
- Develop solution architectures for cloud-native applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and developers to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance across cross-functional teams.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Leadership
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, guiding them through complex technical challenges.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and process improvement within the technology teams.
Governance and Compliance
- Ensure all application modernization and cloud migration efforts comply with relevant governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Lead efforts to document technical standards, architectures, and processes to support governance.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization
- Establish performance monitoring solutions to ensure the stability and availability of applications.
- Continuously optimize application performance, security, and cost-efficiency in the cloud environment.
What you will bring:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years of experience leading application modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native technologies.
- Deep understanding of software development methodologies and best practices, including Agile and DevOps.
- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices architecture, and API-driven design.

- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of application architecture, cloud computing, and modern application frameworks.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Leadership: Experience managing and leading cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and driving results.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and stay ahead of emerging technologies.

The base salary for this position is between $94,800.00 - $144,800.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
