We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Technology Strategic Finance

 

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Finance, the Senior Analyst will support Canada Technology Finance by partnering with Tech leaders to drive long-term strategic outcomes. Responsibilities include maintaining the Technology strategic plan, forecasting, performance monitoring, financial modeling, capacity planning, KPI tracking, and realizing process improvement benefits.

 

What you will do 

Financial Modeling and Business Case Development 

  • Providing support in developing financial models to evaluate the financial viability and impact of new strategic initiatives and partnerships.
  • Preparing detailed and persuasive business cases for leadership review and approvals.
  • Providing guidance on investment and project decisions, ensuring that project milestones are adhering to approved budgets.
  • Develop, build, and deliver well-structured, persuasive, visual presentation materials for senior audiences through storytelling that converts analysis into compelling insights.

 

Portfolio Management 

  • Support initiative gating process and extend support to delivery teams in development and review of gating artifacts (as required).
  • Partner with initiative owners to track budgets, forecasts and actual spend against targets.
  • Provide key financial analysis and management reporting, including delivery of commentaries and executive summaries to support leaders’ decisions, provide impacts and quantifications of prospective or potential decisions.
  • Support strategic / annual planning, including roadmap development, strategy presentations, financial plans and forecasts.
  • Publish monthly reporting dashboard to leadership on initiative and tech strategy financials.
  • Maintain a view of all recurring costs and benefits of the initiative portfolio.

 

 

What you will bring 

  • Storytelling and deck building is a must have skillset.
  • Strong business acumen, with demonstrated aptitude for strategic, analytical and critical thinking.
  • University Degree in Business or Finance & related designation.
  • Highly proficient analytical skills, including financial analysis and research, with the ability to organize results and recommendations clearly.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with proven abilities to collaborate with employees across the organization.
  • Proficient use of tools like PPT and Excel (working knowledge of Thinkcell, Macros and Power BI will be an asset).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a finance or strategy role, preferably within the financial services industry or consulting.

The base salary for this position is between  $70,500.00 - $117,400.00 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
