We are looking for a Manager, Technology Strategic Initiatives

 

What You Will Do

This Manager role will be a key member of the Global Technology Strategy Team, focused on 1) Change and transformation strategy, 2) BAU processes and 3) Special requests and Ad-hoc tasks originating from CIOs, SVPs and VPs and/or other involved stakeholders. This leadership role has broad scope and will have the opportunity to work horizontally with leads from all lines of business across the Lifeco group of operating companies. This senior role will also be a key enabler in driving forward the Strategy, Governance and Reporting roadmap.

 

  • Deliver strategic projects end to end including alignment with all the stakeholders involved and taking these projects through discovery, scoping, planning and execution.
  • Take a project and break it down into key milestones with defined timelines to ensure a robust work breakdown structure is established.
  • Perform research on key strategic topics while working closely with consulting organizations such as Gartner, Deloitte, etc.
  • Ensure strategic processes and workflows are well defined including annual strategic priority setting process.
  • Support the
  • Own strategic governance processes to enable strategic foundational enablers so that we can achieve our Strategic priorities
  • Support data aggregation, data automation and reporting simplification initiatives and projects. Identify new opportunities to improve automation and data flows
  • Drive change across 3 different segments including change and updates to submission materials, reported metrics and processes for multiple deliverables
  • Support on initiatives that deliver on our ultimate target state of technology business management while developing mechanisms which will focus on visibility into Total cost of ownership
  • Provide support, advice and consultancy to multiple Global teams while collaborating and coordinating within a matrix setting.
  • Break down different key projects and big tasks into smaller milestones and measure performance against these milestones

 

What You Will Bring

  • Positive attitude and a drive to bring the change organization wide
  • Storytelling and deck building is a must have skillset.
  • 5+ years of managing large complex strategic projects Globally
  • 5+ years of previous experience in operating within unstructured and ambiguous environments and Global matrix settings.
  • 5+ years of Strategy, Governance, Reporting experience in any of the Big 4 consulting firms and/or Global reporting and governance experience
  • Must know how to influence leaders in different segments and regions as well as extended functional teams and groups
  • 5+ years of data analysis, data aggregation, data automation, data management process etc.
  • PMP or an equivalent certification is preferred
  • Business and technical acumen along with understanding of how technology operates at a Global level working with different countries and segments is an asset
  • University Degree in Computer Science, Business or Finance & related designation
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Proficient in PowerPoint
  • Understanding of different tooling and data methodologies and ecosystem
  • Creative and strategic thinking with proven analytical and problem-solving skills to identify meaningful solutions
  • Strong business acumen and experience in finance or expense management and planning
  • Effective communication and strong relationship building skills.
  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills

The base salary for this position is between  $82,800.00 - $137,900.00 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
