We are looking for a Director, Technical Solutions to own and evolve enterprise-wide capabilities across:
-
- Enterprise Decision Engine (Business Rules / Decision Management)
- Enterprise Document Generation
- Secure Document Exchange
This role sits within our Automation Enablement organization and is accountable for strategy, delivery, platform health, modernization, and people leadership across these critical enterprise services. You will work closely with business partners, architects, product teams, and engineering leaders to ensure these platforms deliver scalable, secure, and reliable outcomes for the enterprise.
This role is steeped in delivery leadership, technical thought leadership, and people leadership, and is empowered to drive modernization, automation, and continuous improvement across platforms and ways of working.
What you will do:
Enterprise Capability Ownership
-
- Own the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and delivery for:
- Enterprise Decision Engine (rules and decision automation)
Enterprise Document Generation
-
- Secure Document Exchange
- Treat each capability as a product, accountable for outcomes, adoption, stability, and evolution.
- Partner with architecture and security teams to ensure platforms align to enterprise standards, risk, and compliance requirements.
Delivery & Technical Leadership
-
- Lead cross-functional engineering and delivery teams to deliver solutions that meet business needs and engineering specifications.
- Provide technical thought leadership across rules, document generation, and document exchange technologies.
- Drive modernization initiatives including platform upgrades, migrations, and re-architecture where required.
- Ensure platforms are instrumented for proactive monitoring, operational excellence, and incident response.
Automation & Engineering Excellence

- Drive automation and engineering improvements that:
- Accelerate delivery.
- Improve quality and resiliency.
- Reduce change failure rates and operational overhead.
- Champion agile and product-oriented ways of working, measuring progress by outcomes rather than outputs.
People & Culture Leadership

- Build and lead a high-performing team of managers, technical leads, and practitioners.
- Coach and mentor leaders and engineers, fostering strong technical depth and ownership.
- Reinforce a culture of collaboration, transparency, accountability, and continuous learning.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management

- Build trusted relationships with business leaders and technology partners.
- Manage vendor relationships where applicable, ensuring value, performance, and alignment to enterprise standards.
- Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and delivery trade-offs.
What you will bring:

- Post Secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 5+ yrs experience in engineering/technology leadership position.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset.

What will set you apart:

- Experience in financial services or regulated industries.
- Experience leading platform migrations or cloud-based architectures.
- Practitioner background (developer, architect, BSA, or similar).
- Experience operating platforms using product management principles.
- Knowledge of operational excellence practices (Agile, Lean, Kanban).
- Ability to define and use platform performance and reliability metrics.

This role is a single point of accountability for enterprise decisioning and document capabilities that are foundational to customer, advisor, and operational experiences. Success will be measured by platform reliability, business outcomes, modernization progress, and team health.

The base salary for this position is between $114,200 - $164,200 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
