National Sales Manager

We’re looking for a National Sales Manager to play an integral role as the national wholesaler for distribution with Recruiting Based Organizations.  

 

What you will do:

 

  • Leverage your 5+ years in sales/wholesaling as the authority on life insurance, seg funds, disability and critical illness products.
  • Work with insurance agents who are both established and new to the industry on sales strategies, the financial services industry and applicable legislation.
  • Understand and communicate tax and estate planning related to life and living benefits to a variety of advisors  
  • Expand and multiply the acquisition of new life insurance, segregated funds, disability and critical illness business by working with agents
  • Deliver product expertise, creative sales ideas and industry insight - our product shelf is robust, dependable and effective and we’re looking to you to show case to agents the power behind Canada Life solutions.
  • Your day runs the gamut from researching trends and business growth to sharing actionable ideas. You transition seamlessly from your desktop to your iPhone and face-to-face. Your territory is wide, and you welcome the road.
  • Move beyond transactional wholesaling by becoming a visible and engaged presence within each partner agency, understanding its unique culture, participating in its journey, and building trusted relationships that position you as an integral part of the team rather than an external wholesaler.
      • With your credibility and expertise you’re ready to lead, inspire and set the agenda. You’ve got a team, and you’ll be supported with proven processes, product solutions, strategies and technical support

 

What you will bring

 

  • 5+ years' experience in financial services / insurance industry
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in finance; or equivalent work experience
  • Strong leadership, sales and relationship-building skills
  • Knowledge of life insurance, seg funds, disability and critical illness products, sales strategies, the financial services industry and applicable legislation
  • Driven to deliver results independently
  • High energy and positive attitude
  • Mentoring nature to help partners succeed
  • General understanding of tax and estate planning principles related to life insurance and living benefit solutions
  • CFP, CH.F.C, PFP or CLU considered strong asset
  • Experience supporting advisors in a variety of business models including Recruiting Based Organizations would be an asset
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Flexibility with work schedule to accommodate weekend and evening
  • Ability to travel across Canada
  • Bilingualism (French) considered a strong asset

The base salary for this position is between $92,500 - $142,500. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
