Manager Marketing Operations

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Manager of Process and Operations will be responsible for leading a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative group of individuals who are dedicated to the planning, operations and analytics functions within BMCI (Brand, Marketing, Communications and Social Impact).  

 

The Manager, Process and Operations will have overall responsibility to manage the delivery of initiatives that focus on the improvement and optimization of processes and planning across BMCI, with crossover into other business units.  They will be system experts for various technology tools within the process, leveraging knowledge and data to increase collaboration, efficiency and effectiveness among teams and with internal business partners across Canada Life.

  • Provide consistent and reliable operational, platform and analytic support that promotes cross-team collaboration and enables informed decision making. 

  • Work with our stakeholders to develop fact-based, data-driven solutions to meet company goals and address challenges. 

  • Be an approachable, trusted source of knowledge and expertise on process and operations. 

  • Provide leadership, oversight and strategic direction to direct reports on the BMCI process and operations team, including management of team performance and development. 

  • Play a leadership and / or supporting role, as required, to enable training, processes, system management and onboarding/offboarding activities for BMCI. 

  • Take the lead on working with vendor and BMCI business partners to understand, communicate and manage platform and process changes.

  • Support identification, development and builds of dashboards, and associated reporting and analysis to support BMCI leadership team and management. 

  

What you will bring  

  • Post-secondary degree, certification or comparable work experience 

  • 3+ years' experience in a people leadership role, ideally leading project management resources 

  • Strong leadership experience and experience in managing change
  • Agile PM experience an asset 

  • Experience and comfort working on ambiguous and fluid assignments 

  • Proven ability to think in a solution oriented, innovative way  

  • Experience maintaining requirements, roadmap, and governance of strategic projects and programs 

  • Bring a positive, high energy and passionate outlook to the job and can influence those around you

The base salary for this position is between  $80,700 - $141,400 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
