We are hiring for an Investment Fund Consultant located in the Toronto or London office.

 

Drive the IMR (Investment Manager Review) process on existing and proposed products for the Individual Wealth and Workplace Solutions platforms. The Investment Fund Consultant will be responsible for carrying out sophisticated and in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis on our offerings and platforms and communicating findings, recommendations to our IMR committees, lines of business and internal and external stakeholders.

 

What you will do:

 

•    Execute the Investment Manager Review process, including both quantitative and qualitative processes, for all existing and proposed products on the Individual Wealth and Workplace Solutions platforms.

 

•    Develop performance reports to support fund related business decisions. Help build Investment line up by contributing to the development of sophisticated methods of reporting on our IMR performance. 

 

•    Measure, evaluate and interpret in-depth performance analytics across all product lines via Morningstar Direct, eVestment, and other systems.

 

•    Communicate + propose findings to IMR committee, lines of business and internal + external stakeholders.

 

•    Support ongoing industry and competitive research.


What you will bring:

 

•    5+ years of experience conducting performance analytics on various fund structures using Morningstar Direct, eVestment alliance, and other industry fund analytics databases.

 

•    5+ years of experience executing investment manager research processes including fund and manager selection, attribution analysis, due diligence interviewing techniques, performance evaluation, portfolio rebalancing and trading.

 

•    Expert knowledge of the mutual fund and segregated fund industry, including features and options of mutual funds, segregated funds, alternative investments and ETFs.

 

•    Quantitative and analytical skills required; proficiency in Python coding is highly preferred.

 

•    University degree ideally in Economics, Business or a related field.

 

•    Any of CFA, CIPM, CAIA, CIM, MBA are preferred.

The base salary for this position is between  $65,400 - $114,500 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
