We are looking for an Investment & Retirement Specialist to join our Investment & Retirement Solutions team within the Freedom Experience department. This is one of the fastest growing areas within Canada Life.  

 

This role seeks to ensure the satisfaction and loyalty of our valued customers, so they continue to choose to invest their financial assets within our organization.  The Investment & Retirement Specialist plays a critical role in managing and nurturing relationships with customers who need assistance with their account or are considering withdrawing their assets.  Your objective will be to address their concerns, provide exceptional customer service, provide sound investment advice, and ultimately persuade them to maintain their financial engagement with our organization. Above all, you are motivated to provide the best possible experience for our customers.  If you are a highly effective listener and communicator, have a very strong knowledge of retirement savings and have a passion for retaining customer loyalty, you would be an ideal candidate for this fast-paced and dynamic role.

 

 

What you will do:

 

  • Provide personalized retirement and investment guidance to group plan members specific to their portfolio and circumstances, to give them confidence in their retirement plan.
  • Proactively engage with clients who are considering withdrawing their assets, understanding their concerns, and providing personalized financial solutions to address their needs
  • Develop a deep understanding of a client’s financial goals, risk tolerance and investment preferences in order to provide tailored advice and guidance
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client experience and loyalty by offering value-added services, customized solutions, and personalized planning
  • Maintain a keen attention to detail, being comfortable analyzing personal saving situations and explaining options.
  • Patience helping members with complex transactions and papererwork. 

 

What you will bring:

  • Life License (LLQP) is a requirement
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Professional certifications (e.g CFA, CFP) would be advantageous
  • Bilingual (English/French) is preferred
  • 2+ years of industry experience in financial services or related field, with a focus on sales, service or loyalty retention
  • Very strong knowledge of pension, savings and investment products and services
  • Excellent listening, and communication skills to effectively engage with clients
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence clients, presenting compelling arguments and solutions to retain their assets
  • Independant, goal-oriented professional who works collaboratively with constructively with different partners.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, identify patterns and make recommendations in the client's best interest
  • Sound working knowledge of MS Office products and Salesforce is beneficial

The base salary for this position is between  $54,300- $95,200 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
