Associate Manager, Technology Finance

The Associate Manager, Technology Finance, has a dual role focused on the following:

 

Cloud Fin Ops Support:

  1. Partnering with internal Cloud FinOps stakeholders to support the operational delivery of Cloud services in a cost effective and efficient manner. This includes developing detailed financial reports, analyzing Cloud consumption trends and providing guidance on finance related matters

 

Forecasting and Budgeting Tooling:

  1. Supporting the forecasting and budgeting cycle through the appropriate configuration of the financial tools and modules available. This role will play a key part in improving the accuracy, visibility and efficiency of financial planning and cost management within the technology and cloud environments

 

What you will do

  • Lead complex financial analysis and reporting, including investigating monthly variance drivers and validating proper allocation of cloud charges 
  • Oversee the monthly cloud consumption extract and load process, reviewing and providing final sign‑off on financial outputs, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
  • Act as an advisor to the Cloud Fin Ops team and provide support related to treatment of charges, prepaid, credit and invoicing matters
  • Enable and facilitate planning cycles, partnering with internal finance teams to ensure updated methodologies and configurations are reflected in the planning tools prior to the initialization of forecast and budget cycles
  • Driving change effectively by actively sponsoring and participating in change and process improvement initiatives

 

What you will bring

  • Completion of a business degree and/or a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA) is preferred but not mandatory
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
  • Experience in cloud cost management or FinOps practices is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and execute a wide variety of tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team and cross functionally
  • Self-motivated with the ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to challenge the status quo through innovative thinking, identify enhancement opportunities and provide strategic recommendations through both financial and technical lens
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint); experience in SAP is preferred but not required, along with demonstrated ability to learn new processes, applications and tools quickly
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching and training staff

The base salary for this position is between $80,400 - $130,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
