AVP Enterprise Security Architecture

Reporting to the Chief Enterprise Architect, the AVP Enterprise Security Architecture will lead the design and implementation of the organization’s security architecture strategy. This role will align security measures with business goals, regulatory requirements, and emerging threats. It will play a key role in integrating security architecture into the broader enterprise architecture and roadmap.

 

Success in this role requires a strong partnership with senior technology leaders across the organization, especially the Global Chief Information Security Officer and their leadership team.

 

This position will collaborate closely with information security team in ensuring that all digital assets, applications, networks, and data assets are secure and compliant with industry standards. It will provide strategic direction and guidance on security frameworks, risk management best practices, and emerging threats. It will work with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the enterprise remains resilient to cyberattacks.

 

What you will do

  • Act as the subject matter expert on security architecture for senior leadership and external partners
  • Develop and implement an enterprise security architecture strategy in alignment with the enterprise security strategy
  • Establish and maintain security architecture frameworks, methodologies and standards
  • Oversee design and implementation of security architecture solutions across applications, networks, cloud, and data to ensure adherence to security policies, controls, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Support security assessments and audits
  • Support application rationalization and modernization efforts in the security domain
  • Oversee proofs-of-technology to test the viability of critical solution approaches to support the decision making process
  • Maintain awareness and support secure adoption of emerging technologies
  • Participate in the Architecture Review Council and raise items as required to collaborate on architecturally significant decisions
  • Incorporate security principles in IT architecture and roadmaps
  • Lead a team consisting of Portfolio Architects and Solutions Architects
  • Lead all employee lifecycle events for all direct reports, including recruitment activities, selection, onboarding, and performance and professional management

 What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree in Computer Science
  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, SABSA) are a plus
  • 10+ years of experience with at least 10 years in the security architecture domain
  • At least 5 years of architecture experience in financial services
  • Experience working with regulatory requirements and security standards (e.g. NIST)
  • Deep knowledge of security technologies including encryption, firewalls, Identity and Access Management (IAM), intrusion detection, Security Information Event Management (SIEM), and network security
  • Strategic mindset

  • Proven experience managing a team’s personal and professional development
  • Architectural experience using modelling languages and frameworks

The base salary for this position is between  $144,300 - $240,500 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
