Corporate L&D Facilitator - 15 Month Term

Our award-winning enterprise Learning and Development (L&D) team is looking for a Corporate L&D Facilitator. This is a 15-month contract role, reporting to the Associate Manager, Instructional Design and Delivery. It is a hybrid role (3 days a week in the office) and can be based out of Canada Life’s London, Montreal, Toronto or our Winnipeg campuses in Canada.  

 

The Corporate L&D Facilitator will be responsible for the delivery of Canada Life’s learning and performance workshops and learning sessions. The Facilitator will also collaborate with business leaders, L&D, and HR partners to plan and lead sessions for specific teams or events. They will work with instructional designers, learning consultants, and the learning operations team to ensure effective learning experience for employees and leaders.  

 

What you will do: 

  • Deliver virtual and in-person workshops and sessions for employees and leaders
  • Support the delivery of the enterprise onboarding program
  • Update workshop and session content based on team and maintenance requests, ongoing feedback, and strategic initiatives
  • Monitor delivery effectiveness through workshop evaluation
  • Consult with HR partners and business leaders in a timely manner, ask probing questions to better understand the business needs, and provide the best suited solution
  • Drive and deliver operational excellence through sustainable program and process recommendations, formalized maintenance strategies, measurement and evaluation strategies
  • Test and implement learning solutions in partnership with other team members, including accessibility and production testing
  • Stay up to date on learning trends and facilitation techniques and ensure all solutions being delivered are relevant, engaging and accessible
  • Support the team in the related L&D events and initiatives

 

Required skills and experience: 

  • 3+ years of experience working in a facilitation role in a corporate or L&D environment, concentrated around learning, performance, and/or leadership development
  • Confidence presenting in front of people leaders and senior audiences, both virtually and in-person
  • Experience with Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Word, Teams, etc.) 
  • Advanced or native level of English, spoken and written
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively coordinate multiple sessions and deadlines
  • Work independently while embracing opportunities for collaboration with the L&D team and stakeholders
  • Drive clarity in ambiguous situations to ensure engaging, high-impact learning experiences
  • A post-secondary Degree/Diploma in HR Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven passion/interest in learning-related topics and activities, being a lifelong learner, with a drive for self-growth
  • As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism is an asset (fluent in French and English) but is required for Quebec only as the position will regularly serve our clients with French and English-speaking needs

 

Nice-to-have skills and experience: 

  • Advanced or native level of French, both spoken and written
  • Certified in DiSC ®
  • Confident in using Adobe Connect
  • A specialized learning degree and/or certificate (i.e. CTP/CTDP)

The base salary for this position is between $56,900 - $94,800 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
