We’re looking for a Regional Sales Manager with insurance business savvy and charismatic gusto to play an integral role with the Montreal Insurance Distribution team. In this fast-paced, results-driven environment, it’s go time for you as you deliver product expertise, creative sales ideas and industry insight. You’ll expand and multiply the acquisition of new life insurance, disability and critical illness business by working with advisors across our Advisory Network. Our product shelf is robust, dependable and effective and we’re looking to you to show case to advisors the power behind Canada Life solutions.
To start
- Your experience is rock solid, with 7-10 years in sales or wholesaling. But you’re not content to carry the bag anymore. And you’re not satisfied with good — you insist on leading the way. As lead support and relationship manager, you’ll join a proprietary insurance team that commands industry respect, defines success by growth and is generously rewarded with compensation and benefits
- You’re an authority on life insurance, disability and critical illness products, sales strategies, the financial services industry and applicable legislation. You understand tax and estate planning related to life and living benefits as if you wrote the book
- With your credibility and expertise (CFP, CH.F.C., PFP and/or CLU), you’re ready to lead, inspire and set the agenda. You’ve got a team, and you’ll be supported with proven processes, product solutions, strategies and technical support

What you will bring
- Bilingualism (fluent in French and English) required, as the position will regularly serve our clients with English and French-speaking need
- Minimum 7 years' experience in financial services / insurance industry
- Post-secondary education, preferably in finance; or equivalent work experience
- Strong leadership, sales and relationship-building skills
- Good knowledge of Canadian life insurance, disability and critical illness products, sales strategies, the financial services industry and applicable legislation
- General understanding of tax and estate planning principles related to life insurance and living benefit solutions
- Hold valid financial services designations, such as CFP, CH.F.C, PFP or CLU
- Experience supporting advisors in a variety of business models including Managing General Agencies and National Accounts would be an asset
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to travel throughout an assigned region using your own means of transportation

This position will be located in the Montreal head office.

The base salary for this position is between $92,500 - $142,500 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
