Reporting to the National Manager, Education & Engagement, the Education and Engagement Consultant is responsible for designing and executing education strategies for high value clients. The role includes delivering highly engaging employee education sessions aimed at increasing awareness, understanding, and effective use of workplace retirement savings plans. Success in this role is measured by the ability to drive tangible outcomes, including higher member engagement, increased plan utilization, and the consolidation of assets from other financial institutions.
What you will do:
- Partner with high-value plan sponsors to analyze participant demographics in order to design a tailored annual education strategy
- Create and execute annual education strategy plans for our high value clients.
- Provide adequate and effective education tools to plan sponsor to improve member engagement
- Deliver high impact, interactive education sessions that drive understanding, participation and effective use of workplace retirement savings plans
- Partner with the Client Relationship Executive to promote the tools and resources to plan sponsors
- Participate in shortlist presentation to bring to life the member experience at Canada Life
- Actively contribute to the delivery of financial well-being focused webinars offered to all members
- Collaborate with the National Education & Engagement team to create and improve content of Group Retirement Services standard sessions and share best practices
- Collaborate on strategic improvement initiatives to strengthen business unit operations
- Incumbent must manage sessions with emphasis on time and cost management (travel budget)
What you will bring:
- Bilingualism (fluent in French and English) is required, as the position will regularly serve our clients with French and English-speaking need.
- Must have group retirement experience with a background in the financial services industry
- Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationship with plan sponsors , brokers and consultants
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on negotiation skills
- Superior presentation skills with a proven ability to present investment and retirement planning topics to pension committees, plans sponsors and group audiences
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to fluctuating work volumes while working independently
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Agile thinker who brings creativity and innovation to problem solving
- Must have a vehicle, insurance, and valid driver's license
Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following head office locations: Quebec City or Montreal.

The base salary for this position is between $59,800 - $99,700 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
