Our Nominee/GIC team is currently seeking a Sr. Advisor Associate– someone who is responsible for providing a very high level of service to internal and external clients. Any advisor/branch inquiries/processing inquiries will be handled to ensure that accurate, efficient service is provided to everyone in a professional manner. The primary function of this role is to provide back-office processing support for IPC Advisors.

What you will do

 

  • Act as a delegate for the Team Manager, assuming leadership responsibilities and decision-making authority during their absence.
  • Oversight and management of team workload volumes, balanced workload distribution and adherence to performance targets.
  • Provide leadership support by motivating team members, identifying opportunities for training, development and quality improvement.
  • Serve as a primary resource for team inquiries, resolving complex issues and ensuring adherence to procedure guidelines and quality standards.
  • Processing all documentation related to accounts: Non-Reg, TFSA’s, RSP’s, RRIF’s, LIRA’s, LIF’s, Trusts, informal and formal, estate accounts and corporate accounts.
  • Processing transfers in and out, verify setup of new accounts, entering systematic instructions, verify and processing withdrawals and de-registrations.
  • Verify and setup Fee for Service & FFS Quality Control
  • Processing preauthorized payments, automatic withdrawals, purchases, redemptions, transfers, switches and ensuring accurateness of transactions.
  • Monitoring of monthly reports in preparation for maturity and interest payments.
  • Process all transaction-related paperwork such as letters of Indemnities, commission rebates, cheque requisitions - as it pertains to specific branch offices/advisors in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.
  • Able to process AWD Settlement, Wrap Fee Processing, Client Payout etc.
  • Lead regular team huddles and meetings to share updates, promote best practices organized team events as well as inter departmental meetings and projects.
  • Create and review non-financial updates sent to fund companies via Fund SERV.
  • Review and update procedure manuals as required

  • College or University Financial Business studies preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience within the Mutual Fund Industry and specifically Registered products in a Nominee environment.
  • Completion of CSC/IFIC.
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
  • Proficient at using the Microsoft Office suite of products, mainly MS Word and Excel.

The base salary for this position is between $XX,XXX - $XX,XXX annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
