Our Private Wealth team is currently growing! We’re seeking a Private Wealth Portfolio Manager– someone who is solution focused, knowledgeable in the investment industry, motivated to cultivate and manage relationships with Referring Advisors and High-Net-Worth Clients.
What you will do
- Build and maintain relationships with our referring advisors and their High-Net-Worth Clients
- Maintain strong relationships with Business Development and other departments within CL
- Manage and maintain client review schedule and KYC update, keeping stakeholders informed
- Effectively manage marketing efforts for Private Wealth Sales including Advisor recognition
- Review prospective client portfolios and provide optimal portfolio recommendations using IPC’s discretionary portfolio solutions on the IPC Private Wealth platform.
- Prepare proposals and accompanying investment policy statements
- Keep internal stakeholders informed of the progress of client’s business and program details
- Facilitate Teams and on-site events including Due Diligence new Advisors and Corp. events
- Identify and propose improvements to the Private Wealth program utilizing a continuous improvement approach
- Managing internal department sales, pipeline reporting and expense filings
What you will bring:
- 5+ years financial services experience specifically as an investment advisor and/or portfolio manager within the wealth management industry
- Excellence in Business Development, Servicing, Client Facing and Advisor Engaging
- Either Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation is a must have
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a specialization in business or marketing or a related field
- Relationship-building skills with a commitment to establishing long-term relationships
- Ability to acknowledge and own inquiries through to resolution
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with various audiences at all levels of the organization
- Process-driven with ability to use strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively to deal with tight deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to think critically and use sound judgment
- Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
- Proficiency with Morningstar Direct, Salesforce or other CRM software is an asset
- Proficiency in Office 365

The base salary for this position is between $102,300 - $170,500 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
