Our Finance team is currently growing! We’re seeking a Financial Analyst– someone who is a key contributor, utilizing excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to approach problem solving. As a Financial Analyst in our Finance team, you will be involved in accounting tasks for our monthly financial reporting as well as monthly analysis of M&A deals that have closed.
What you will do
Financial Accounting

Post journal entries in SAP

Prepare month-end reconciliations and variance analysis of general ledger accounts

Handle any audit requests and ad-hoc reporting/variance analysis in a timely manner
M&A Post-Deal Analysis

Calculate anniversary payments of closed deals through attrition and retention analysis

Run profitability analysis and financial modelling for each corporate branch

Liaison with insurance carriers and advisors to complete weekly and monthly insurance revenue reporting and analysis

Assist with the sales calculations for our in-house advisor compensation programs
What you will bring

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required to develop and maintain good working relationships with advisors, internal departments and external stakeholders

Attention to detail and accuracy when handling large data spreadsheets in a fast-paced environment with hard deadlines

Use effective time management and problem-solving skills when faced with obstacles

Embrace change and question the status quo with a growth mindset of wanting to continuously improve existing processes

Express interest in learning new technologies to automate manual tasks and improve work efficiencies

Take ownership of individual deliverables while also being a team player who steps up to assist the team when needed

Post-secondary education in Business/Accounting/Finance
-
Working towards a CPA or CFA designation
-
Experience in financial services is preferred
-
Intermediate to Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel functions such as formulas (VLookUp, SumIf), pivot tables, charts etc, with an interest in expanding one’s knowledge of other MS Office functions

Proficient Microsoft Office skill set in Word, Outlook, Powerpoint.

Working knowledge of the financial accounting modules in SAP is preferred

The base salary for this position is between $61,600 - $ 92,300 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
