Our Communications team is currently growing, and we are looking for a full-time Communications Specialist to join our team!  This individual will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to help Advisors build a better business.  The Communications Specialist will be responsible for supporting corporate communication tactics across all channels with a key focus to support operational lines of business.  They will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including senior management, to provide communication support, write/edit content, and oversee the quality of communications.

 

What you will do

  • Write, edit, review and lead the production and publication of IPC’s Advisor Newsletter.
  • Manage the publication and distribution of corporate news to the corporate intranet.
  • Organize and manage the corporate email distribution calendar; build and distribute emails using the organization's platform, ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
  • Provide communications support, including writing and/or editing– as assigned – for various Operational and Events initiatives.
  • Support content writing, production and execution for the social media channels ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Maintain and update distribution lists for efficient communication delivery.
  • Monitor shared mailboxes to ensure all requests are responded to promptly and directed to correct people as needed
  • Coordinate translation requests, tracking progress and delivery.
  • Monitor and report on communications metrics and engagement.
  • Support the development and execution of content and communication campaigns as assigned.
  • Maintain an organized archive of communication materials and resources.

What you will bring

 

  • Minimum 5 years experience in communications – in complex organizational structure.
  • Post-secondary degree in communications, digital communications and/or marketing communications.
  • Advanced knowledge of content management systems such as Sharepoint, intranet systems, and website blog management
  • Advanced knowledge of email management systems, like Constant Contact; Marketing Cloud, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft office suite; including PowerPoint
  • Proficient knowledge of social media platforms and community management
  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organized. 
  • Strong writing, editing and proof-reading skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and capable of dealing with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to follow consistency guidelines.
  • Highly responsive, and a self-starter.
  • Resourceful and agile in nature and able to pivot as the business evolves.
  • Able to proactively seek out information and engage with business partners across the organization to support communication efforts

The base salary for this position is between  $56,000 - $ 83,900 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
