The Advisor Support Associate is an integral part of the Advisor Compensation & Support Services team, which reports directly to the Associate Manager. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for processing advisor rep codes updates, facilitating MFDA and IIROC book purchases/transitions, as well as interacting with various internal business units, advisors and external fund companies. We are seeking for someone who possesses great organizational skills, is enthusiastic, and can multi-task in our fast-paced environment! Please note this is a 12 month contract position.

 

What you will do

• Processing for Univeris (MFDA) and MyView (IIROC) accordingly within established SLAs

• Monitor and respond to requests from advisors, advisor offices/branches and internal business units within established SLAs

• Ensure all proper documentation and signatures are received for new advisor’s commission payout forms and for any changes to existing rep code(s) (payout grids, banking, contacts, addresses) and related matters

• Process advisor resignations/retirements and terminations

• Liaison with several internal departments to facilitate transfer of business requests, advisor updates etc.

• Update Fund Companies and Intermediaries by broadcasting Non-Financial Updates (NFU) via RightFax and FundServ

• Liaison with Fund Companies to trouble shoot and resolve errors

• Setup and/or maintain access for required internal softwares

• Update and/or maintain internal databases for Unlicensed Assistants

• Setup and/or update rep code(s) with compliance reviewers for Branch Managers

• Complete internal audit requests as required

• Work with PMO for new operating system releases, testing where required

 

What you will bring

• Strong understanding of financial industry best business practices

• Ability to accurately process job requirements in a timely manner

•Ability to communicate effectively in a business environment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Monitor systems, processes and methods, recommending and implementing necessary changes to improve efficiency of internal processes

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Exceptional capability of meeting deadlines and prioritizing workload

• Accurate data entry with strong attention to detail

• Highest level of confidentiality

• Undergraduate degree in Business is preferred

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience within the Financial Industry, preferably within a dealership

• Completion of IFIC is an asset

The base salary for this position is between  $39, 200 - $ 69, 300 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
