We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer Specialist to join our team.


Reporting to the Senior Technical Lead, the Senior DevOps Engineer role will focus on designing, implementing, and supporting secure, scalable, and resilient cloud and container platform solutions while enabling development teams through best-in-class DevOps tooling, processes, and automation.

The successful candidate will provide technical knowledge across cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), helping accelerate software delivery while ensuring operational excellence, security, and compliance.

 

What you will do

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and deliver modern cloud solutions that are secure, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Design, implement, and support cloud infrastructure and container platforms, including Kubernetes-based environments.
  • Drive adoption of DevOps principles and execute on the enterprise DevOps framework.
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and automation tooling such as Ansible.
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks within deployment and operational processes and implement technical solutions to remove friction.
  • Design, deploy, and manage containerized workloads using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Ensure all functional and non-functional requirements are achieved and measurable across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Collaborate with security, networking, and infrastructure teams to ensure adherence to enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and risk management standards.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of complex platform, infrastructure, and deployment issues.
  • Support and evolve platform observability, monitoring, logging, and operational excellence practices.
  • Mentor team members and promote engineering best practices across cloud, automation, and DevOps disciplines.
  • Provide technical leadership and recommendations for improvements to tools, standards, processes, and platform capabilities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure leadership receives timely communication regarding major incidents, risks, and platform initiatives.

 

What You'll Bring

  • Required Qualifications
    • 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Infrastructure Engineering, or related disciplines within a large, complex enterprise environment.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile delivery methodologies, and DevOps practices.
    • Advanced experience designing and supporting cloud-native platforms and infrastructure.
    • Strong knowledge of cloud services including:
    • Virtual networks and networking services
    • Virtual machines and compute platforms
    • Cloud storage services
    • Application hosting platforms
    • Kubernetes platforms
    • Monitoring and observability solutions
    • Secrets and key management services
    • Identity and access management solutions
    • Hands-on experience deploying, operating, and troubleshooting containerized applications and platform services using:
    • Docker
    • Kubernetes
    • Service mesh technologies such as Tetrate Service Bridge (TSB) and Istio
    • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
    • Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible.
    • Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms.
    • Strong knowledge of source control and repository management using GitHub, GitLab, or similar tools.
    • Solid understanding of networking concepts, including:
      • TCP/IP
      • DNS
      • Load balancing
      • Firewalls
      • Network security
      • Hybrid cloud connectivity
    • Experience implementing cloud security, governance, compliance, and operational best practices.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities in highly distributed cloud environments.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams, architects, business stakeholders, and vendors.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives, influence technical direction, and mentor peers.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
    • HashiCorp Terraform Certification.
    • Experience with policy-as-code, infrastructure security scanning, and cloud governance frameworks.
    • Experience implementing observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry, or similar platforms.
    • Experience supporting hybrid cloud and enterprise-scale platform environments.
    • Familiarity with secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault or equivalent technologies.
    • Experience implementing and managing Tetrate Service Bridge (TSB) in enterprise Kubernetes environments.
    • Experience with service mesh architecture, including:
      • Istio
      • Tetrate Service Bridge
      • Traffic routing and canary deployments
      • mTLS and zero-trust security
      • API gateway integration
      • Multi-cluster and multi-cloud Kubernetes architectures
    • Experience supporting cloud-native platform engineering and developer self-service capabilities through Kubernetes and service mesh technologies.
    • Design, deply and manage containerized workloads using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
    • Experience with AWS/EKS and Azure/AKS

The base salary for this position is between $75,600.00 - $125,600.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
