We are seeking a Specialist, Corporate Physical Security Operations to play a critical role in safeguarding the workforce and corporate environments through the design, execution, and continuous improvement of enterprise physical security operations.
This role is a core operational position within the Corporate Physical Security (CPS) program and serves as the first‑line corporate operator for workforce safety, threat response, and site‑level security escalations. Operating above onsite security teams, the Specialist supports the end‑to‑end operational lifecycle of incidents intake, triage, response, escalation, and closure while contributing directly to the maturity of the Physical Security Operations Centre (PSOC), Security Emergency Response Team (SERT), and incident‑response capabilities.
Reporting to the Manager, Security Operations, Governance & Technology, this role requires strong operational discipline, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently during high‑tempo situations, including after‑hours and on‑call support models.
This role is foundational to the effectiveness and credibility of Corporate Physical Security. By designing, executing, and continuously improving security operations, you ensure workforce safety incidents and security escalations are handled consistently, professionally, and in alignment with enterprise standards. Your work directly supports business continuity, leadership confidence, and the organization’s ability to operate safely at scale.
What you will do
- Develop, maintain and execute standard operating models, plans and procedures for workforce safety, physical security incident management and emergency response to ensure consistency, scalability and operational readiness
- Support security governance, and assurance activities by maintaining operational documentation, evidence standards and reporting practices that enable oversight, compliance, and risk transparency
- Design, implement, and execute standardized workforce safety and physical security incident workflows, ensuring consistent intake, response, escalation, documentation, and formal closure
- Plan, structure, and operate PSOC and SERT coverage models, including direct execution of afterhours and on-call response functions
- Plan and coordinate, then execute, guard surge and event security operations, ensuring alignment to approved security, executive protection, and event security plans
- Develop, validate, and execute incident response playbooks during real‑world events, exercises, and security escalations, driving repeatability and operational discipline
- Define documentation standards and execute high-quality incident reporting, timelines, and evidence capture to support governance, audit readiness, and trend analysis
- Plan and lead after‑action reviews (AARs), translating findings into operational improvements, refined procedures, and measurable process enhancements
- Establish operating norms and execute coordination with contracted onsite security providers during incidents and events, acting as the corporate operational authority
What you bring
- Demonstrated experience in the design and execution of security operations, incident response, or GSOC workflows in a corporate or comparable environment
- Experience supporting audit and issues management findings
- Proven ability to translate operational requirements into repeatable processes, standards, and playbooks—and then execute them consistently under pressure
- Strong situational awareness and decision‑making skills, with accountability for outcomes during ambiguous, high‑risk, or time‑critical situations
- Experience operating as an individual contributor with functional ownership, influencing outcomes without formal people management authority
- Comfort serving as the operational face of Corporate Physical Security during incidents, coordinating internal teams and external vendors with confidence and professionalism
- Demonstrated reliability, discretion, and resilience when supporting after‑hours, on‑call, or elevated‑risk operations
- Reliability Status Security Clearance – this can only be completed with candidates who receive an offer of employment. This is a personal security status that is required as a condition of employment before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website. The cost of submitting these checks will be covered by Canada Life.
Nice to Have
- Experience contributing to GSOC, SERT, crisis management, or emergency operations program development
- Familiarity with enterprise mass notification platforms
- Experience working with contract guard services in multi‑site or enterprise environments
- Exposure to event security, executive protection coordination, or complex incident management
- Comfort with modern workflows, including effective use of Microsoft 365 tools and applications, is an asset
- First aid, CPR, AED, or advanced medical response certifications

The base salary for this position is between $80,400 - $130,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
