The Advisor Compensation developer will participate in the development of enhancements and provide support to ensure the system is functioning according to our service level agreements.

 

We currently have an opening for an intermediate developer.

 

 What you will do:

  • Design, develop, integrate, test, transition to production, and maintain our Advisor Compensation systems
  • Provide production support and application monitoring and tuning for applications
  • Provide ongoing daily production support and remediation of business applications within the Individual Customer line of business – including the development and execution of test plans
  • Being part of the rotation for monitoring incidents
  • Contribute to the elimination of problems through permanent fixes including the identification of solutions, scoping the work, and executing the changes
  • Trouble shoot application problems, and maintain an inventory of expertise for identified problems
  • Complete development assignments as assigned through your team leader and negotiated with project teams
  • Create and/or update development expertise and best practices
  • Liaise and provide consulting support for applications to project teams
  • Occasional after hours and weekend work will be required

What you will bring:

  • Degree/diploma in related discipline (computer science) or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Training or knowledge and experience with:
    • Software design methodologies and documentation tools
    • Software requirements analysis and design principles
    • Quality assurance and testing of application
    • Exposure to job scheduling and file transfer tools would also be an asset.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems
    • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, plan and organize your own work, communicate effectively in writing and verbally in person or remotely, initiative, team oriented leadership skills and attention to detail
    • Understanding of general technology project methodologies, processes and practices
    • Effective planning and organizational skills
    • Good understanding of information technology

The base salary for this position is between $51,400-$95,200 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
