As the organization looks to advance our Business Risk & Control function, we are seeking a Senior Risk and Resilience Advisor to join the team supporting the Individual Wealth business unit and its subsidiaries. Reporting to the Director, Risk, Governance, & Controls, you will play a key role in providing expertise on risk management and internal control strategies across the business. This role involves the execution of risk programs to ensure compliance with the organization’s enterprise risk management framework. The role includes identifying potential risks, supporting the development of mitigation strategies, and ensuring effective internal controls are in place to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
What you will do
- Support activities aligned to various risk programs including but not limited to Risk Assessments, Key Risk Indicators, Process Mapping, Business Continuity Management, Scenario Analyses, and End User Computing (EUC)
- Collaborate with management to identify and assess key risk and controls within critical business services
- Ensure consistency in the application of risk assessment tools across business services
- Support management with the development of action plans to remediate internal control failures and monitor progress to completion action plans
- Update and maintain business unit specific operational risk library
- Complete process mapping of critical business services
- Advise the business on process and control improvements
- Perform risk and control analysis and provide insights to management on trends or patterns
- Support the design and operationalization of risk markers to measure and monitor exposures to operational risk
- Support business leaders in completing root cause analysis and reporting of risk events and development and implementation of risk mitigation actions
- Support management with internal and external audits, compliance assessments and regulatory examinations
- Drive resolution of obstacles to streamline audits and timely closure of audit findings
- Ongoing monitoring and reporting of open audit findings
- Support the design and execution of operational risk scenario analysis
- Facilitate management’s quarterly End User Computing (EUC) attestation and report on compliance with EUC Operating Standard
What you will bring
- 3+ years of experience in a financial services industry role with operational risk and controls related responsibilities
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail, ability to self-motivate, and deliver against deadlines
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft products (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder skills
- Post-secondary education or equivalent level of training or experience

The base salary for this position is between $70,500 - $129,200 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
