The Senior Project Manager leads large, high-risk and complex initiatives with multiple workstreams and significant business impact. The role is accountable to the Project Sponsor for delivering the business outcomes and value defined in the project charter, including agreed scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk and resource commitments.

 

Working at the intersection of business and technology, the Senior Project Manager provides end-to-end leadership for digital transformation, software implementation, integration and data migration initiatives. The role combines strategic project leadership, business relationship management and change leadership to modernise operations, improve client experience and deliver sustainable enterprise outcomes.

 

What You Will Be Accountable For

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of large, complex initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives, governance standards, and approved project plans.
  • Partner with sponsors and senior stakeholders to define scope, outcomes, priorities, and success measures while facilitating key decisions and managing trade-offs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, vendors, and partners to deliver business value while managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, dependencies, and compliance requirements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, bridging business, technology, and client needs to support successful outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Governance

  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, resources, governance, and delivery artifacts.
  • Apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies to meet project objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change impacts.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, dashboards, and governance materials.

 

Execution & Delivery

  • Coordinate resources and workstreams to deliver agreed outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Manage financials, forecasting, compliance requirements, implementation readiness, and production transitions.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned.

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with sponsors, executives, business partners, vendors, and delivery teams.
  • Provide clear communications, facilitate governance forums, manage escalations, and support informed decision-making.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights.

 

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead, coach, and support project teams to drive high performance and delivery excellence.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of project management practices, tools, and standards.
  • Drive process improvements and identify opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Qualifications

Experience & Education

  • 5+ years leading complex, medium-to-large projects or programs with multiple workstreams.
  • Experience delivering digital transformation, software implementation, integration, or data migration initiatives.
  • Postsecondary education in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to influence and manage senior and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience managing budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.

 

Certifications

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification required.
  • Agile, Scrum, SAFe, PMI-ACP, PMI-PBA, CSM, or PRINCE2 certifications are assets.

 

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong expertise in project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery.
  • Knowledge of PDLC, governance frameworks, and risk management practices.
  • Business, technical, and financial acumen with a focus on delivering business value.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Clarity, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

The base salary for this position is between  $79,100 - $131,800  annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
