We are looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our API Integration team, focusing on Workplace Benefits & Retirement Digital Product API deliverables.
The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for leading the analysis of business problems and developing requirements, API Product specifications and contribution towards product design efforts. The Senior Business Systems Analyst champions and contributes to the development of analysis standards, tools, processes, and best practices. This role applies advanced knowledge to complex work and supports delivery teams by sharing skills and mentoring. This role leads the work to implement solutions to complex problems, which may be independently or through leading or supporting the collaboration with other team members and stakeholders.
What you will do
- Document all Q&A that need to be addressed to understand the integration requirements
- Initiate a review of understood requirements prior to solution design with stakeholders
- Create data mapping documents between API and front end /back end
- Contribute to the creation of OpenAPI specs and JDL files
- Create southbound orchestration specs
- Document acceptance criteria for each story
- Create development stories and tasks
- Lead story grooming and story pointing with development team
- Conduct review of completed work to ensure requirements have been met
What you will bring
- 5+ years of multi-disciplinary experience in a large, complex organization
- Experience working within an agile team
- Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science and/or Software Engineering or equivalent experience
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative stakeholder relationships across multiple geographies and business functions
- Ability to effectively communicate high-level concepts and solutions with both technology and business teams
- A self-starter with the ability to comfortably operate in ambiguity
- You value simplicity and are unafraid to challenge technical constraints to utilize an iterative and agile approach
- Familiarity with several architecture integration patterns and analysis deliverables for them
- Understanding of Domain Modelling
- Reliability Status Security Clearance – this can only be completed with candidates who receive an offer of employment. This is a personal security status that is required as a condition of employment before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website. The cost of submitting these checks will be covered by Canada Life.

The base salary for this position is between $80,400 - $130,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
