Senior Compensation Consultant | Great West
Permanent Full Time
As a Senior Compensation Consultant, you will play a key role in the analysis, design, delivery, and governance of compensation programs across Great-West Lifeco. Leveraging data and market intelligence, you will provide strategic advice, conduct compensation analyses, and develop recommendations that support business objectives and sound governance.
What you will do:
- Lead the delivery and governance of executive and broad-based compensation programs, including incentive plans
- Act as a trusted advisor to HR partners and business leaders, providing compensation expertise and recommendations on a broad range of compensation matters
- Conduct compensation analyses, market benchmarking, and cost modeling to develop recommendations that ensure programs support market competitiveness, internal equity, and business objectives
- Support executive compensation governance activities, including developing analyses, recommendations, and materials for the Human Resources Committee and public disclosures, such as the management proxy circular
- Lead the execution of key components of the annual compensation cycle, including compensation modelling, data validation, communications, and advisory support to HR partners
- Develop presentations, communications, policies and other materials to support compensation program design, implementation, and governance
- Drive continuous improvement of compensation processes through automation, technology, and AI-enabled tools
- Lead or contribute to other initiatives as required in support of broader compensation and HR strategies
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in compensation or related roles
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights and recommendations
- Strong relationship management and collaboration skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence stakeholder decisions
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to prepare and present information for senior audiences
- Advanced Excel skills with experience in modelling, scenario analysis, reporting and data interpretation; strong proficiency with Word and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and consistently exhibit excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism when dealing with confidential and sensitive information
The base salary for this position is between $75,600 - $125,600 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
