We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Canada Risk
As the Senior Analyst, Canada Risk, you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting a variety of projects, work packages within projects and/or providing analysis, project management and change management consulting support.
Reporting to the Director Special Projects, Enterprise Risk Management, you will work in close collaboration with risk executives and their teams within Lifeco and the Canada segment supporting Enterprise Risk, Financial Risk, Technology Risk and Operational Risk & Resilience.
In this role, you will provide critical support to 2nd line of defense risk management teams accountable for designing, implementing and embedding of risk management governance frameworks, policies, operating standards and guidelines utilized by the 1st line of defense in developing processes and controls designed to avoid or mitigate unacceptable risk exposure.
What you will do:
- Work with Risk Management practitioners to define and decompose strategic goals and objectives into executable work packages
- Perform strategic analysis of existing and new risk frameworks, business processes, controls and guidelines and facilitate meaningful iterative improvements across regions
- Communicate effectively with 1st, 2nd and 3rd line of defense stakeholders to drive engagement and commitment to initiative success.
- Assist with planning of change initiatives that align with organizational strategies and increase both operational efficiency/and capability maturity.
- Build strong relationships with the leadership team and senior business partners to maximize the value of those relationships.
- Prepare reporting to risk senior leadership on progress against baseline plans
What you will bring:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Focus on continuous innovation using agile, lean six sigma to improve processes and supporting technology.
- Post-secondary education preferred; equivalent training or experience will be considered.
- Strong time management, prioritization, and project management/coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound judgment and strong analytical skills to identify opportunities for enterprise collaboration.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, demonstrate agility, and change direction
- Detail-oriented and concise.
- Analytical, forward-thinking with an awareness of emerging regulatory compliance trends and strategic deliverables.
- Strong critical thinking, conceptualization, presentation and communication skills to effectively execute change.
- Relationship building, people management and leadership skills with an exceptional ability to make things happen through influence and by nurturing key partnership relationships.
Given the size and scope of our organization, we have flexibility for this position to be in London, Toronto, Montreal or Winnipeg.

The base salary for this position is between $63,500 - $117,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
