We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Pricing Consultant, Group Retirement Services (GRS) within Workplace Benefits and Retirement at Canada Life. This is an exciting opportunity to drive profitable growth and contribute to the strategic direction of our GRS business.
Reporting to the GRS Pricing Manager, you will be responsible for the development and recommendation of segregated fund pricing for both new and existing group pension clients. Functions of the role include assessing profitability, risk, market competitiveness, and collaborating with our Group Sales organization (Business Development) to effectively communicate meaningful pricing solutions in support of our value proposition.

What you will do:
- Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for GRS client pricing with a core focus on driving profitable growth and earnings.
- Investigate, assess and provide meaningful solutions to pricing inquiries and provide relevant information to support decisions.
- Manage and coordinate workflow of inbound and outbound pricing requests to ensure timely responses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, most notably Business Development.
- Ensure data is accurately entered into tracking spreadsheets, reporting tools and client files are maintained with relevant and precise pricing history.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline, such as Business, Accounting or Finance.
- Related work experience within the pension and retirement landscape is an asset.
- Proven experience in financial analysis and decision making, with a keen focus on understanding and quantifying financial impacts and earnings drivers.
- Technically savvy. Proficient in Excel, experience in Microsoft Access and Visual Basic is an asset.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to facilitate collaboration and convey financial concepts effectively.
- Excellent organization skills with a proven ability to prioritize and manage workload with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic business environment and comfortable driving meaningful change.
- Strong level of initiative and will consider challenges as opportunities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen focus on identifying efficiencies in process.

The base salary for this position is between $54,300.00 - $81,400.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
